The Wake Up Project has long gone beyond sports. It is a community of people who are actively involved in charitable initiatives and create socially important events. During the project's third anniversary in Los Angeles, funds were raised for children in need, and the coaches personally delivered the aid.

At the Garrett Buffett Foundation's Zmistovno center, children needed sports equipment. The coaches bought everything on the list: anti-stress balls, training sticks, basketballs, gymnastic mats, yoga blocks, and more. They also bought pizza and drinks to make the children happy.

 

  "Since all our schools and kindergartens have been bombed, there is nowhere for children to study, we have no socialization, so this center was made for children. The children who attend our center have almost all been under occupation, we have children whose fathers died at the front defending our country, we have large families," says Iryna Honcharova, the center's coordinator.

 

The center works with children aged 5 to 18. Here they study computer science, engage in choreography, drawing, other extracurricular activities, and even have classes with a speech therapist.

The children saw off the coaches with loud shouts of "Thank you" and presented them with a picture as a souvenir.

The project operates in many cities in Ukraine, America, and Europe and join absolutely everyone can join it. By doing so, you not only change personally, but also have the opportunity to become part of a larger, social change.
